Seung Hyo-Sang

Well-known for his philosophy of 'Beauty of Poverty (Humbleness),' Seung H-Sang is a renowned Korean architect who pursues a design that is modest and in perfect harmony with nature. He believes that "good architecture does not exist for itself, but exists as a tool to sustain a healthy life," and "good architecture creates good living, and with good architecture, the world can take a step forward." Médongaule, he designed 'Seongok Seowon,' a modern reinterpretation of Byeongsan Seowon in Andong, as well as 'Gyeongoeam Temple,' a small Buddhist hermitage at the end of the mountain path behind the Seowon.
